Lets talk all things Cricut. What machine do you have? Or should I say what machines do you have? I know I personally have owned them all. It does seem like over time Cricut has started to release a better product. I’m enjoying explore the cricut all over again. Now with their newer machines I don’t have to buy cartridges I can just pay for a monthly subscription and get access to everything in their system. I’m loving the fonts mostly, but I think that has a lot to do with me making more banners and the chunky fonts make the best lettering. Even better is that I can put a pen in the machine and have it write for me too. I know lazy but I love it!
My thoughts on the new Cricut Air are that how freaking amazing is it not to have to pack a computer with me. I can just use an Ipad to work with. Although in order to use SVG files I would have to use a computer. The Bluetooth adapter is in the machine itself and I don’t have to buy the extra piece for it. I love the blue color way more than the green but I would really like to see them come out with something in GOLD! Maybe Teresa Collins and Cricut need to get back together and come out with something since her new line is all gold inspired.
You may have seen in other places that the Cricut Air is bigger than the original Explore but that is not the case at all. You have to remember if your taking your photos at different angles it is going to look like the size is off. I didn’t keep my other explore to compare it to but just by looking at it I would say that it is the same exact size.
Setting up the machine and getting the Bluetooth to work was so easy. I think it took less than 10 minutes to do both parts of set up. Even the instructions are super easy to read or just look at the pictures and it explains it for you. You don’t have any giant books to have to look through to figure it out. Plus now there is a great community support you can find on Facebook. Lots of people willing to help if you come to a problem and can’t solve it on your own.
Pictures are of me opening the box up. The one thing I was sad about was that the box you get the machine out of was just white. In the past I’ve always thought cricut had amazing boxes. This one was just blank.
When the set up was all complete I made the project that came up first. I think it was super cute!
