Happy Late Mother’s Day to all of the mommies out there! I know I’m a week late getting this out but I had my mom here on the 1st of May and she left on the 10th. I made 3 mother’s day gifts this year and I love how each one turned out.
I made a “gardener’s wreath” for my mom for Mother’s Day. My mom is really big into gardening and she really loved how it turned out. It even fit in her suit case to take home with her :). In total I would say the cost of the wreath was around $15. I had to buy a 15′ hose, garden gloves, and the little flowers. I had the yellow tulle at home.
For my mother in law in Texas I made her a little paper box that held a lotion that I had picked up at bath and body works. The box is from the Silhouette store, and I used my cameo to cut it. The flower that is on it is also from the silhouette store and I really liked that I was able to layer them and then curl the ends up. The little pendent is made using a fiskars punch. The stamp set that I used was “Mother’s Day” by Jaded Blossom.
The last gift I made was for my sister in law who is expecting her first baby in October! I’m very excited about this! She is letting me throw her baby shower. Plus I’m the one taking all the pregnancy photos and I’ll be taking the baby’s first photos after he or she is born. They have a fun event planned for announcing the baby. So I’ll probably be posting those photos. For Sara’s gift I had a metal water bottle that I just cut black vinyl and added to it. Again I used my Silhouette Cameo and found the image from the Silhouette store. The fonts where something I had on my computer.
