cute little party invite

Provo craft has come out with some interesting Cricut Cartridges.  These ones are meant for parties and what not.  The cartridge I used to make this cute little party invite is called “Girls Makeup Party”.  There is a bunch of different ideas in there but I wanted to see what the little purse looked like!  I think it turned out super cute!

This is what the cartridge looks like…

And on the back what it displays!

I’m a sucker for anything Provo craft releases! New Cricut Mini!

I have gotten the newest machine from provo craft!  They call it the cricut mini!  And it is really smaller than the expression.  Weighing in at only 5 pounds.  Now this machine does not have the screen that you can select what you want to cut from it.  You have to use a program called Cricut Craft Room.  With this program you can design anywhere you have internet access.  From what I understand you can design there and export it to your gypsy to cut if you want as well.  The only thing that I don’t like about it is if your not using your gypsy with it you have to have your physical cricut cartridge.  I hope that in the near future Provo Craft will find their way around this so we can link the carts we have on our gypsys to the Cricut Craft Room.  For you can only link your carts to one device right now.

I’m excited to use mine for travel.  I visit my mom in Oregon or my mother in law in Nebraska and it is going to be nice to have a cricut machine that I can use.

*Open box

*Oh pretty box inside

*Out of the plain boring box

*They should have but this on the top of the box instead of the inside.

*Mat sits on the top

*Paper stuff for the machine

*The first look of the cricut mini

* “Mom it is so little”

*She is probably thinking when she can use it

*What was left in the box

*The only buttons on this machine. Arrows for loading and unloading and the power button

*Where you insert the cartridge

Twilight banner!!!! OMG!!!!

Author: iva  //  Category: Cricut Cartridges, Cricut Imagine, CRICUT!, gifts

So tomorrow is the Twilight midnight showing that my best friend and I are going to see.  I will admit I like the movies but she is way more into it than I am.  So to support her Twilight ADDICTION!  I have made her this super cute banner.  This took me most of the day to make it.  We are going to the theater at 10am!  OMG I know crazy right.

The banner pendents were cut at 5″ using Teresa Collins Baby Boutique Cricut Imagine Cartridge. The red patter paper was made using the Imagine Black and White cartridge by Teresa Collins as well. The letters were at 2.65″ using a Cricut cartridge Tie the Knot. All of the little embellishments were from Joann’s immortal love collection that I had bought way earlier in the year if not last year. All paper used was just basic card stock except for the black glitter and that is Target $1.00 bin paper.

Hope she likes it!

Hard to see but this is the length of the banner the shelf is 3 feet long.

My bestie Nadine has had quite the last week.  Her youngest daughter has charge syndrome and had her second cochlear done, but during all of this her oldest daughter was not feeling good and kept complaining of her tummy hurting.  She would just not eat because that would upset her stomach.  Nadine took her to the ER and they pretty much stated everything was fine well guess what IT WASN’T!  She was taken to another hospital (one with a better children doctor)  Come to find out her Appendix had ruptured.  Her body had been fighting it for almost a week.  They admitted her to the hospital right away.  She has spent a week in the hospital!  I believe that some one or thing was really watching over her.  So anyways I made this super cute little card for her and I’m going to put together a “at home sick” box since she can’t go back to school until the 14th.

card size 4″ x 6″
cricut: Splish Splash
Paper: Reminisce “Pink Bubbly Fish”, and plain card stock
Punch: Doily Lace (Martha Stewart)
ribbon: Michaels
Bling: Hobby Lobby
Extras: glossy accents, black glitter, white & black gel pens
